Oodnadatta cafe 2.jpg

Store & Cafe

The old general store and cafe is a great place to stop and get a coffee and some supplies.  Fresh fruit and vegetables are available as well as frozen meats and an assortment of other goods.

This store is owned by the community and profits go back into the local area to improve facilities for visitors and residents.

Oodnadatta Railway Museum 2.jpg

Museum

In its heyday, Oodnadatta was the main transport transit centre for Central Australia.  You can easily spend a couple of hours in the museum learning about the development of this very remote town.

If you stay a bit longer you might be lucky enough to connect with the Traditional Owners of this land.  Visit www.ardugula.org for more information

Visitor camp free 1.jpg

Campsite

The free camp is easy to find from the main road and there is wide access for vans, trailers and buses.

There is nothing flash about the free camp but there is a free gas BBQ and a shade structure.

From here it is an easy walk to the community toilets (no shower) and the drinking water station where you can buy drinking water.
